The best part about superheroes, ironically is how human they are despite the extraordinary abilities they possess that set them apart from us normal folks. Their lives may be more action-packed and much more dramatic than we could possibly imagine, but don't we all share the same if not, similar fears? The fear of losing the ones that we hold dear to our hearts, the fear of not living up to the responsibility that we have to shoulder, and the fear of losing ourselves along the way. Our biggest threat may not be the vengeful villains that live to make our lives a living hell, but perhaps we are our own worst enemies.
Emotions can be very deceiving. They trick into feeling lesser than who you are and God knows what anger and pain can do to us. Up until now, I've always just been able to listen to the predicaments and personal dilemmas that my loved ones face. Despite what people say about how good enough it is to be able to listen to those who need you,I've always wanted to do more. It hurts me to just sit and watch the ones that I love suffer and know that there's nothing that I could do to make things better. I wish I could save them, I wish I could be the superhero.
I pray that things will be better for all of us. It's the least I could do other than listen ;(
